Also known as loaded teas, Herbalife tea bombs are your colorful beverages that promise to increase your energy, improve your focus and concentration and promote weight loss. But are Herbalife tea bombs keto-friendly?

Are Herbalife Tea Bombs Keto-Friendly? Can You Drink Loaded Teas When on Ketosis Diet?

Herbalife tea bombs are loaded teas that consist of various Herbalife supplements. But the main ingredients are LiftOff and Herbalife Tea Concentrate. But you can also add Aloe Concentrate Drink.

How much of these supplements you add will depend on your preference. Each supplement contains carbohydrates.

One main requirement of a ketogenic diet is to lower your carb intake to less than 50 grams a day.

Are Herbalife Tea Bombs Keto-Friendly - main requirement of keto

Let’s break down the carbohydrate content of each ingredient.

  • Herbalife LiftOff: 4 g per serving
  • Herbalife Tea: 1 g per serving
  • Aloe Concentrate: 0.3 g

It means that per serving of Herbalife tea bomb has approximately 5.3 grams of carbohydrates.

In that case, it’s still a keto-friendly tea.

Thus, Herbalife tea bombs can be a keto-friendly drink if you only add those three ingredients. However, if you mix more ingredients, the carb content will add up.

So be mindful.

Are Herbalife Tea Bombs Even Healthy?

Are Herbalife Tea Bombs Keto-Friendly - caffeine content

They are healthy, as long as you drink one cup a day. These loaded teas are chock full of vitamins and ingredients.

However, what worries health experts is the caffeine content.

A cup of Herbalife tea bomb can contain around 160 mg of caffeine. That’s about two cups of coffee.

It’s still a safe amount as long as you don’t drink a cup of Java before or after drinking loaded tea.

If you experience rapid heart rate each time you drink coffee, then the Herbalife tea bomb isn’t right for you.

To make it a healthy drink, you should only have a cup per day. Then, you might want to lessen the amount of serving per ingredient you add.

Herbalife tea bomb is loaded with energy boosters and vitamins. But because of the ingredients’ caffeine content, drinking more than a cup of loaded tea can put your cardiovascular system in overdrive.

In other words, it can increase your heart rate. It may also increase your blood pressure.

If you are vulnerable to the adverse effects of caffeine, it’s best to avoid it.

On the other hand, if you want to be safe and wish to strictly follow the rules of the ketosis diet, you should stick to water.

Plain drinking water has no calories and carbs. You may wish to add some lemon juice or herbs. But adding something to your water can up your calorie and carb intake.

Conclusion

Are Herbalife tea bombs keto-friendly? In a way, they are ideal for your ketosis diet. However, you need to limit yourself to just a cup each day. And you must focus on drinking water afterward.

Remember that you can only have 50 grams of carbs per day on a ketosis diet.
