Welcome to the Vim Ch’i FAQ about Mindful Eating and Financial Wellness. True intrinsic health is a balance of your energy (vim), your life force (chi), and your financial peace of mind. Here are the answers to the most commonly asked questions we hear most often.
What Does Vim Ch’i Mean?
Vim represents energy and enthusiasm. Ch’i, on the other hand, refers to the vital force within us. These two represent our mission. That is, to help you cultivate the energy and internal balance. They’re all necessary for your health.
What is intrinsic health?
Most wellness programs only look at external factors, such as the number on a scale. Vim Ch’i, however, focuses on the intrinsic side. It means we focus on the internal mindset that dictates how you eat, how you spend, and how you live. We view your body and your bank account as a single, connected system.
Mindful Eating and Nutrition
How is Mindful Eating Different from a Traditional Diet?
Mindful eating is not a diet. Rather, it’s a way of eating to help you reconnect with your body’s natural hunger cues. The goal is to help you stop emotional eating by understanding why you eat and not just what you eat.
Do you support specific diets like Keto or Carnivore?
Yes. We believe in the benefits of Keto, OMAD (One Meal a Day), and the carnivore diet. But they’re not for everyone. We provide resources to help you determine if these diets align with your body and budget.
What is Mindful Eating Journal?
Our upcoming journal is a tool designed to help you identify triggers and activate cravings. It helps you distinguish between physical hunger and stress-based (often financial) hunger. As a result, it lets you track your intentions, instead of just your calories. You may also check out our mindful eating ultimate guide.
Financial Wellness
Why Does a Health Website Talk About Credit Cards and Insurance?
Physical health is nearly impossible to maintain if you have burgeoning debt or are in constant financial stress. Remember that financial stress often leads to emotional eating, in addition to burnout. When you address your financial literacy, like managing your debt and understanding insurance, you can remove the hidden stressors that sabotage your wellness.
Where Can I Find Resources for Debt Management?
We have a dedicated Financial Wellness section that covers topics like credit card debt, health insurance, and life insurance to help you find peace of mind.
