Why Weight Watchers Is Still a Popular Diet Service?

Weight Watchers is one of the companies widely known in the Philippines, although it’s not as popular as the weight loss services of Dr. Vicky Bello. The company has been around for 40 years and has been helping millions of people in the world to effectively lose weight and start living healthier lives.

What I like about this diet service is that it offers flexibility to what I can eat. You’re encouraged to eat less to lose weight. Unlike other diet services, Weight Watchers will teach you how to eat healthy, filling foods so you can eat less. With this flexibility, it’s no wonder a lot of those who wish to lose weight are signing up for its programs, including me.

    The Approach

The program is more of a balanced approach to achieve weight loss goals. It emphasizes on health eating plan making it an ideal, steady healthy weight reduction. The overall plan teaches you how to become more active and choose healthy food options.

Every food has a point value based on an algorithm that evaluates the nutrition of the food and the time it takes for it to be burned off by your body. The overall idea is to lose weight through a calorie deficit using its point system as the foundation. You can start with these recipes:

The trick here is to stick to your daily target so you can eat what you want.

One of the best things about this plan is that it doesn’t prohibit any food making it a sustainable plan to lose weight and keep it off permanently.

I love the fact that this diet plan isn’t a crash diet as it assists you in adapting a healthy lifestyle. As soon as you master the points system, you can follow the program for the rest of your life.

There are more than 40,000 foods posted on its website with point values. Plus, it has hundreds of recipes with a meal planner and some tips that you can eat out.

Weight Watchers has its own line of food products. Some of them are sold at S&R and selected department stores in Davao. There’s no way to order their products online as there’s no delivery option available. Unfortunately, only a few supermarkets in Davao City selling them.

Another great thing about Weight Watchers is that it offers tracking features that can truly help keep track of what you’re eating and how you’re burning off the food you’ve eaten. The mobile app isn’t free but it offers great value for money as you can access it and use the tools to monitor what you’re eating during the day.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t have a calorie counting tool. But it does have tools that track points, meals and fitness. Compared with calorie counting, its points system is simple to follow.

It gives you the flexibility to eat what you want to eat. This is ideal for those don’t want to restrict their food options. With its flexibility, it’s a great option for busy individuals who are always on-the-go.

The points system may take some time to understand how it works but once you do, it becomes easier for you to monitor your healthy eating. Although signing up can be quite expensive, it offers best overall value. And just like the weight loss programs we’ve reviewed in the past, if you follow the plan, you’ll lose weight. The best thing about it is that you can adapt the changes permanently so you can keep the weight off.
