Are you looking for foods that can help with weight loss?

Have you tried going for a high-protein diet yet to reach your ideal weight?

Research showed that diets containing 30% of protein are considered reasonable for losing weight. Going for this type of diet with moderate carbs and regular exercise can significantly reduce your body fats. Not only that. It can also help maintain your lean tissue while it burns fat to give you energy.

HOW PROTEIN WORKS WHEN IT COMES TO REDUCING APPETITE?

It’s not known yet as to how exactly protein works in reducing appetite. But they believe that it reduced production of appetite-stimulating hormones. That said, you’ll have fewer sugar cravings causing you to eat less.

High-protein diet with fewer carbs may also be very useful in weight loss because of its effects on hunger hormones and your brain chemistry.

WHAT PROTEIN SNACKS YOU SHOULD BE EATING?

    TURKEY

Three ounces of turkey can already give you 25 grams of protein.

    EDAMAME

A cup of prepared edamame has 17 grams of protein.

    BEANS

Do you need 22 grams of protein? Just eat a cup of prepared lentils and you’ll have the amount of protein you need for your daily activities.

    PUMPKIN SEEDS

Research showed that these seeds could indeed help with weight loss as ½ cup of pumpkin seeds could give you 14 grams of protein but low in calories.

    PROTEIN BAR

Most protein bars available on the market contain at least 10 grams of protein. Nutrilite’s Protein Bar, on the other hand contains 21 grams of protein, which makes it ideal for your weight loss goal.

    CHOCOLATE MILK

A glass of chocolate milk contains around 8 and 11 grams of protein. But make sure that you choose fat-free milk. Otherwise, you’ll end up drinking high-calorie milk that can ruin your goal of reaching your ideal weight before 2013 ends.

    HARD BOILED EGG

One medium-sized hard-boiled egg is only less than 100 calories. But it already contains 6 grams of protein making your stomach feel fuller.

    NUTS

Raw almonds alone have 6.4 grams of protein. They’re perfect as your afternoon snack.

    CHEESE

String cheese has 6 to 8 grams of protein.

    Bottom Line

Although a high-protein diet is a very useful tool to help you achieve your ideal weight, you must make sure that you’re still eating the recommended daily allowance of protein. Women, for instance, only need up to 46 grams of protein each day. Men, on the other hand, require higher amount of protein, i.e. 56 grams of this stuff each day.
