    Home Remedies for Acne

Home remedies for acne are aplenty. Although they can’t provide you with fast results, they can make a huge difference to your skin. If you pair them with fruit and vegetables, your body can effectively fight against any hormonal imbalance that might cause inflammation.

Here’s a list of natural remedies for acne that you can try. They’re so called food prescriptions that aren’t only effective in treating acne but they’re also effective in helping you fit and trim.

    1. Foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids

Salmon is one of the food examples that contain high amount of omega-3 fatty acids. Some skin doctors believe that these fatty acids can keep your acne under control.

To make them more effective as home remedies for acne, you should eat at least 2 servings of these fatty acids each week.

Other omega-3 fatty acids sources will include

    • Sardines
    • Trout
    • Canola
    • Linseeds
    • Walnuts

    2. Brazil nuts

The selenium in these nuts contains anti-oxidant properties that may improve your acne problems. This can be caused by the mineral’s protective powers that preserve skin’s elasticity. And if you pair it with food rich in vitamins E and A, then you could have the best natural remedy for acne.

Skin experts recommend eating two Brazil nuts each day to achieve the right amount of selenium.

You can also go for seafood, eggs, whole grains, poultry, and egg.

    3. Vitamin C

This type of vitamin protects your skin against blemishes caused by acne. The bioflavanoids in a vitamin C source can enhance the healing properties of such vitamin making it more effective in alleviating signs of acne.

The recommended amount for vitamin C intake is 500 mg.

But you can easily obtain that by eating, say, raw red capsicum and strawberries.

You should opt for a product that has vitamin E and selenium.

    Take it once a day.

    2. Chromium

Dietitians suggest taking of chromium as another natural remedy for acne.

The right dosage is 200 mcg per day.

The above mentioned remedies for acne won’t work if you don’t delete these food items from your daily menu.

These foods can cause your blood sugar to increase which may contribute to acne.
