[dropcap]I[/dropcap] always eat breakfast. It’s not because it’s recommended by fitness experts but because each time I wake up, my stomach is growling. And eggs are a better option as breakfast for weight loss.
I do envy my cousins who can skip their morning meals. Although they’re not busy, they’re just too lazy to prepare their breakfast.
And if they do prepare their morning meals, they always opt for the easiest option – eggs.
In a 2011 study, it was noted that one in ten people do skip breakfast.
Their reasons? No time to eat or too busy to prepare.
But this isn’t my case. I don’t skip breakfast. Even if I don’t like cooking, I still have to find something in the fridge to fill my stomach.
I’m not used to eating cereals with cold milk in the morning.
Instead, I consume cereals as a snack. It’s not that I don’t like the amount of sugar in cereals (about 20 to 30 grams when they’re served with milk). It’s just that cereals won’t make me feel full.
When I do eat them, I starve again after one hour.
For that reason, I always opt for eggs as breakfast. And eggs are also an ideal option for those who want to lose weight.
There are tons of ways to eat and prepare eggs. By eating eggs as breakfast, you’ll lose a big part of your weight. Because there’s no sugar crash, you don’t need to eat after an hour.
Why Eggs are Better Than Cereals?
Cereals contain high amount of sugars. This is one of the reasons you’ll experience sugar crash, in addition to hunger spike. Bear in mind that the AHA only recommends up to 20 grams of sugar a day for women and 36 grams for men.
And when you compare that to two pieces of boiled eggs or scrambled eggs, you’ll only get two grams of sugar.
When I do prepare eggs for breakfast, I make omelet or cook it with our microwave oven. Then, I add cheese and tomatoes. With this hearty meal, it will surely keep you full for hours, thereby, helping you lose weight.
