Another trend in health and wellness is the need to integrate all aspects of health in various well-being programs. To reach the highest level of well-being, you need to focus on your purpose in life, mental, physical and emotional wellness.
For example, if you are experiencing a persistent cough, you should not only focus on providing treatment for a cough alone. Instead, you need to look at the mental and emotional state of the person.
Employers can provide transformative technologies to their employees. In that way, they can monitor and interact with them and help in reinforcing positive behavior.

Scientists are looking into other ways to trigger oral receptors to trigger the brain into action. For example, the quinine has a bitter taste. But it is a great way to trigger your autonomic nervous system before performing any intense exercise.
5. Niche Wellness Retreats
People in 2019 will take health and wellness retreats. These niche retreats are a way for individuals to have a “me time.” They are specially designed for new mothers who wish to get away from their crying babies for just a few days.
6. Kombucha Boom
CBD products are already a hit this year. They will continue to rise next year. Most people will use CBD oil and capsules to treat their inflammation and pain.
However, health and wellness experts are seeing trends in the plant-based diet. More and more people will continue to incorporate plant-based foods into their diet.
These foods are effective in boosting not just their health but also their ability to lose weight. Kombucha, for one, is only getting started. We can expect more similar products that can provide gut-health benefits.

They also adopt measures to boost their employees’ mental health. Plus, they are now offering flexible hours. For example, some employees can start late. Other companies are adopting a four-day work week.
They also promote self-care strategies to address burnout.
10. A Modern Ayurveda
Ayurveda has been around for centuries. But this practice is getting modern and ubiquitous and it will continue to do so in the coming year.
It is a holistic health system that has exploded in the public’s awareness because of the ketogenic diet and other health and wellness approaches. It is one of the reasons many individuals are looking into the benefits of ghee. They are now using it as a cooking staple.
Ghee is a common oil in Ayurvedic cooking. It is made from butter. But it does not contain solids. Because of its popularity, it is now easier to find it in a grocery store. Unfortunately, it is still difficult to buy it here in the Philippines as not all grocery centers offer it.
Apart from ghee, panchakarma is also getting more popular. It is a cleansing method in Ayurveda. It is a detoxification method, which has become a popular choice among Hollywood’s elite, from Kate Hudson to Liv Tyler.
Spas that offer this type of detox are treating people for a weeklong panchakarma. But there is also a one-day version where busy individuals can pop in for a health and wellness tuneup.
More and more people are noticing and realizing the health benefits of Ayurveda. People recognize that meditation, exercise, diet and self-care practice may not work for everyone. Instead, they seek alternative healing. That’s whey Ayurveda will continue to be popular in the coming years.
